Archaeologists believe that the traditional illustration of the sarcophagus depicts Paqual that descends into the underworld of the Maya, but the Ancient Astronaut theorists interpret the incision in a very different way.
If we think about the appearance of our astronauts when they are in a rocket, with all the equipment on, we see the similarities. So you have to ask the question, this artifact has only a symbolic value, or have tried to depict, with their limited understanding at the time, what was happening? Re Paqual was just a Mayan king loved by all? Or you may trattatava an important visitor from a planet far away?
A map that should not exist
In 1929 is discovered a mysterious map painted on a gazelle skin. Archaeologists attach the document to an admiral of the sixteenth-century turkish name Piri Reis. The oddity is that this map, in sharp contrast with other existing at the time, is that it represents land which at the time had not yet been explored. Furthermore, the map depicts the coast Antarctica as it appears in the current ice sheet. This means that the map was created at a time when Antarctica was free from ice, or, many millions of years ago!
