Incredible Ancient Metallurgical Wonders That Defy Explanation And Pose A Real Mystery Even Today


Highly advanced hardening techniques of the ancients as well as ancient castings of large pieces, were widespread in antiquity. MessageToEagle.com - The Antediluvians had technologies that matched our own; there are also serious indications that in certain areas they even possessed extraordinary knowledge, which has only hardly been nudged by our present-day science.

Our ancestors were in possession of an extremely sophisticated scientific knowledge of metalworking from an earlier civilization and evidence of this knowledge was found in different parts of the world.
China with a long history in metallurgy, was the earliest civilization that manufactured cast iron and some of the ancient Chinese feats of casting iron are so impressive as to be almost unbelievable.
One of them is for example, the cast iron pagoda entirely built of cast iron at Dangyang, Hubei Province, China, in 1061. It is the tallest (17.9 m high) surviving cast-iron structure, which has 13 stories, built up of cast-iron octagonal sections fitted together by a tenon-and-mortise system.

One large sculpture of legendary fame is the majestic cast-iron lion situated not far from the Grand Canal at Cangzhou, Hebei Province. It was manufactured in 953 AD.
The gigantic lion (5.4×3×5.3 m) weighs over 37 tons. It is hollow and the thickness of its walls varies from 40 to 20 cm. On its back is a lotus pedestal of cast iron weighing circa 5 tons.

"The mystery of the use of iron in India and China is one that largely baffles modern metallurgists. It is assumed that these countries developed iron and other metallurgical skills after the west, but the evidence points otherwise," says D. H. Childress in his book "Technology of the Gods: The Incredible Sciences of the Ancients" and cites South African archaeologist Nikolass van der Merwe, saying that "spreading east from the Mediterranean, iron was diffused throughout most of Asia before the Christian era.
"By 1100 BC it was in use in Persia, from where it spread to Pakistan and India. The date of the arrival of iron in India is still a matter of some dispute..."


Ancient Indians, for example, produced iron capable of withstanding corrosion, most likely due to the high phosphorus content of the iron produced during those times.
A column of cast iron 23 feet (7 meters) high, weighing approximately 6 tons with diameter of 16.4 inches stands in the courtyard of Kutb Minar in Delhi, India.

An inscription in the Sanscrit language informs that the column was originally erected in the temple of Muttra and capped with Garuda - "Messenger of the Gods" - an image of the bird incarnation of the god Vishnu, the Indian god known as "The Preserver".
But Muslim invaders destroyed the Garuda and tore the column from its original setting and moved it to the current place in Delhi in the eleventh century.

It is unknown how long this impressive iron shaft had been at Muttra.
What was it meant to represent?
Was it merely a religious symbol or did it serve any other purpose?
To which era does the pillar really belong?


The column - made up of 98% wrought iron of impure quality - not in any way welded together - seems to have been forged as a single, gigantic piece of iron.

Many legends are devoted to the Ashoka Pillar also known as the Iron Pillar in Delhi, which is said to be in existence for the past 1600 years, but some scholars believe the structure is a few millennia old.
This metallurgical wonder defies explanation and poses a real mystery even today, due to its enormous size and a sizeable casting job related to it. It is difficult to even imagine how such a huge mass of iron was lifted and manipulated during manufacture.
How did the structure manage to "survive" under the Indian tropical heat and violent monsoon downpours.
Normally a piece of iron manufactured 1600 years ago would have corroded long ago. But it is not the only mystery of the Ashoka Pillar.
The column - made up of 98% wrought iron of impure quality - not in any way welded together - seems to have been forged as a single, gigantic piece of iron.
Iron with exceptionally high purity can be produced today under controlled laboratory conditions by electrolysis. This knowledge was not duplicated until recent times.
It was even possible to produce iron of comparable purity in 1938.


It was placed at its present location around 1727, but where was it earlier? The artifact has been shrouded in mystery for centuries and still remains the subject of scholarly speculation. Who made it, how and why, is unknown.

Fabrication of the Iron Pillar, seven-ton heavy and seven meter tall known for its amazing corrosion resistance despite exposure to the wind, sun and rain in the open for more than 16 centuries is undoubtedly metallurgical marvel of the ancients.
How metallurgists of ancient India achieved this level of iron purity and what kind of technique they used to cast such enornous iron pillar - remains a mystery.
Another mysterious iron column exists at Kottenforst, a few miles west of Bonn, Germany. It has its local name the "Iron Man". It has the appearance of a squared metal bar, with 4 feet 10 inches above ground and an estimated 9 feet beneath the surface.
Like the iron pillar of India, the "Iron Man" of Kottenforst shows some weathering but very little trace of rust.
Who made it, how and why, is unknown.

Mysterious Mohenjo Daro Was Home To An Unknown Advanced Civilization Far Ahead Of Its Time

MessageToEagle.com - Thousands of years ago, the mysterious city of Mohenjo Daro was home to an unknown, advanced and prosperous civilization that used technology and constructed buildings that were unique to the ancient world.

The ruined great city of Mohenjo-Daro ("Mound of the Dead") was once a major urban center of the Harappa Culture or Indus Civilization, a highly developed civilisation that flourished on the banks of the rivers Indus and Saraswati, around 3000 BC. (in Pakistan now)
Excavations in 1920-22 at Harappa -Mohenjodaro (which lie in what is now Pakistan) confirmed the existence of an unknown civilization in the Indus Valley, the home of one of the oldest highly advanced civilizations of the world.



The sophistication of the infrastructure relating to the water supply and effluent disposal systems of the mysterious city was unique!

Why was Mohenjo-Daro abandoned?
The Indus Civilization collapsed around 2000 BC Mohenjo-Daro - discovered in 1922 - was a center of trade and manufacture built on two gigantic artificial mounds; a higher mound the so-called citadel or acropolis overlooked the lower mound considered as residential with hundreds of dwelling houses, larger buildings and a regular system of streets.

Mohenjo-Daro's infrastructute displaced very advanced techniques focused on water supply and effluent disposal systems, extremely important for public health.
This prehistoric society valued good roads, clean fresh water and a system of law.
Probably the most impressive building was a bath-house having absolutely no equal in cities until the Roman period. It was covered with a pool measuring 40 feet by 23 feet, with a steam-bath and a hot-air heating system.
When the city flourished, fresh water was supplied by a network of over 700 unique wells for drinking water, constructed in form of cylindrical shafts several meters deep.
Mohenjo-Daro's citizens used them long before Egypt and Mesopotamia, where water was still fetched from rivers to be stored in cisterns.



The city's engineers and masons also built bathrooms in every home while polishing the tiles of its grand ritual bath to a highly burnished waterproof glaze.
Unique water supply from wells was integrated with a drainage system. Waste water along with sewage from houses was channeled into a complex system of drains running along and below the streets.


The drains had removable covers to give access for cleaning. Cesspools and soakaway pots were commonly used. and each bedroom had running water and a bathroom and lavatory.
The municipal sewerage was so efficient that according to British engineers, they could do no better at the present day.


Some interesting terracotta female figurines of the so called "mother goddess" have been discovered at Mohenjo-Daro.
One of these figurines, dated to approximately 3000 BC, depicts a woman wearing extremely short mini skirt, a necklace and belt and only her face is rather strange and very unusual.
Was she looking like this, when this clay figurine was formed? Was it her real appearance?
If this was the case, one can say that the civilization of Mohenjo Daro had a lot in common with our modern society.
Among more than 40,000 artefacts unearthed in Mohenjo-Daro, there are hand-carved chess pieces, perfectly clay toy animals, and clay urns, platters and ovens that highlight a culinary culture and stone weights and measures.
When the 5,000-year-old ruins of the city were first unearthed, it was one of the greatest archaeological discoveries. Today Mohenjo-Daro is in danger to be completely destroyed and forgotten.
According to archaeologists, Mohenjo-Daro will most probably disappear within 20 years without an urgent rescue plan. If this happens, an important and valuable piece of our history will be lost.

NASA Images Find 1.7 Million Year Old Man-Made Bridge

The NASA Shuttle has imaged a mysterious ancient bridge between India and Sri Lanka. The bridge was purportedly passable on foot until 1480 AD when a cyclone moved the sand around.

This recently-discovered bridge has been found to be made of a chain of limestone shoals. Its unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man made. The bridge currently named as Adam’s Bridge (most popularly known as Ram Setu) is about 18 miles (30 km) long.

This bridge starts as chain of shoals from the Dhanushkodi tip of India’s Pamban Island and ends at Sri Lanka’s Mannar Island. Water between India and Sri Lanka is only 3 to 30 feet (1 to 10 meter) deep. Owing to shallow waters, this bridge presents a problem in navigation as big ships cannot travel in the shallow waters of the Pamban channel.

This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in tredha yuga (more than 1,700,000 years ago).

This information may not be of much importance to the archeologists who are interested in exploring the origins of man, but it is sure to the spiritual gates of the people of the world to have come to know an ancient history linked to the Indian mythology.

China bereidt aanval op dollar voor

China is in recordtempo de grootste goudproducent ter wereld geworden; verwacht wordt 440 ton dit jaar. Niets van dit goud verlaat het land en daarbij importeert China ook nog massaal via Hong Kong – tijdens de eerste helft van dit jaar zo’n 726 ton – en koopt het tvens goudbedrijven op in Afrika en Latijns-Amerika.

yuan dollarHet officiële goudbezit van China is nu 1054 ton, maar dit cijfer dateert alweer van 2009. Niemand weet precies wat de huidige goudreserve van het land is. Aan de snelheid van productie en import van de afgelopen jaren te meten zou het Middle Kingdom wel eens meer dan 4000 ton kunnen bezitten! Zulk nieuws zou het meteen tot de tweede grootste bezitter van het gele edelmetaal maken. Het land wacht echter met nieuwe cijfers, waarschijnlijk omdat ze eerst nog wat goud kunnen inslaan rond lagere prijzen.

Koppeling Yuan aan Goud?
Volgens het huidige vijfjaren-plan van China is het doel een maximum aan goud te verzamelen tegen 2015. Wie weet komt het land dan wel naar buiten met een mededeling die de hele financiële wereld zou schokken: dat de yuan/renminbi voortaan gekoppeld wordt aan goud! Waar China haar burgers aanmoedigt goud te kopen en zelf het goede voorbeeld geeft, is het tegengestelde waar in India. Daar doet de overheid er net alles aan om de Indiërs ervan weg te houden. Het land heeft een almaar toenemend handelstekort en een munt die fors in waarde daalt.

Van oudsher grote liefhebbers van het gele edelmetaal, blijven de burgers kopen en bijkopen. In de laatste drie maanden is de prijs zelfs met 30 procent gestegen. Indiërs zien goud bezitten als sparen en beveiliging tegen inflatie, buiten dat het altijd al gebruikelijk is geweest om het cadeau te geven bij huwelijken. De taksen ettelijke keren verhogen, de import beperken – niets lijkt de burger te kunnen weerhouden.

Banken kopen goud van burgers?

goud-india2De recentste (wanhoops)poging van de Indische overheid is een plan om de commerciële banken goud te laten kopen van de burgers, om zo de munt te ondersteunen en goud uit roulatie te krijgen. Ook bekijkt het land of een soortgelijke actie als in 1991 kan herhaald worden, toen het ook in een crisis zat, waarbij goud uit de reserves als onderpand gegeven werd voor een lening.
Het lijkt alsof de regeringen eender wat mogen doen : aanraden of ontraden; de burger blijkt het slimst en onverzettelijk in zijn voorliefde voor het gele edelmetaal.
