Hollocaust as red in history books, truth or fiction?

The fact I have the most problem with is the prosecution of revisionists. Why is that? If the hollocaust has happend as it is being told in history books why is it forbidden for people to  research it? If it is blatantly true why worry about people who are trying to make a different argument?

Are the powers that be affraid of the lid being blown of one of the biggest conspiracies of the 20th century?
